This watercolor illustration shows La Coladilla, the main square of Los Barrios de Gordón, during our local festival.
The artwork was created using watercolor pencils and a wet brush to bring the scene to life, combining many shades of green and tiny colorful figures gathering around the old bandstand.
This piece is featured on the cover of this year’s festival program!
In this post, I’ve also included some old photos of our festival back in the early 80s, especially the procession of the Virgen del Carmen. It’s a very picturesque tradition that shows how much care and devotion people put into these celebrations.
I hope this piece brings you a little of the joy we feel during our village festival.
