I’m currently working on a vintage-inspired Christmas collection, and one of my designs is this wreath of holly leaves and berries. I aimed for a distressed look complete with splatters and an impasto oil effect, where the paint appears thick, sometimes shiny, or textured.

I made three versions of the wreath, and deciding which ones I liked best was hard!

This is version A. It’s the one with more splatters and less beige or gray impasto.

This is version B. Lots more of distressing effects here. I think this is the one l love and it’s available here in my society6 shop.

This is version C, with more muted down colors. I think it is too muted.
